Doing Business with the City

The Finance Department oversees the City's procurement process. The Procurement Manager ensures that goods and services are purchased cost-effectively, transparently, and per the procurement rules set by the State of Texas.

In general, the City follows the procedures below:

• Purchases $3,000 and Below: Do not require a set number of quotes
• Purchases between $3,000 - $50,000: Solicit quotes from at least 2 Historically Underutilized Businesses
• Purchases greater than $50,000: Posted publicly on City’s website. (The City does not require interested bidders to register prior to submitting bids).
