Calling all future police officers! The Fair Oaks Ranch Police Department is excited to host its Annual Junior Police Academy, offering a unique chance for kids to explore the world of law enforcement. This free, week-long event combines education and hands-on experiences, giving students a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to be a police officer.

Participants will learn about important topics such as Texas law, patrol procedures, and traffic enforcement. But it’s not just about learning! Students will also get to practice what they’ve learned through fun, practical exercises. It's a week full of action, teamwork, and memorable experiences.

Academy Details:

  • Dates: June 9 - June 13, 2025

  • Time: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday

  • Location: Fair Oaks Ranch Police Department, 7286 Dietz Elkhorn Road

  • Ages: 8-10

  • Cost: Free (Lunch and afternoon snack provided)

  • Class Size: Limited to 30 students (First-come, first-served basis)

Students are expected to approach the academy with maturity, respecting academy rules that closely mirror school regulations. Inappropriate behavior may result in removal from the program.

Interested participants should submit a completed application packet, including medical release and parental consent forms, to the Fair Oaks Ranch Police Department. Applications must be hand-delivered or emailed by 5:00 PM on April 28, 2025.
