Fox Falls Sewer Project

The Fox Falls Off-Site Gravity Sewer Project is an external project by the San Antonio Water System (SAWS) that will directly impact residents of Fair Oaks Ranch. The objective of the project is to enhance sewer main capacity to service existing and future customers in the area. This upsizing is crucial for accommodating the needs identified in multiple SAWS Utility Service Agreements with area developers.

Project Scope

  • Duration: October 2023 - October 2024
  • Total Cost: $9,270,200.00
  • Key Areas Affected: Leslie Pfeiffer, Copper Leaf, Fair Oaks Parkway, and Woodland Parkway
  • Construction Impact: Temporary lane closures, above-ground sewer lines for bypass pumping

Objectives and Benefits

The Fox Falls Sewer Project is designed to:

  • Enhance Capacity: Upgrading the sewer main to accommodate increased demand.
  • Ensure Reliability: Reducing the risk of sewage overflows and maintaining consistent service.
  • Support Growth: Providing essential infrastructure for future development within the city.

Project Update as of December 11:

Starting from December 16, there will be final paving works taking place on certain portions of Fair Oaks Parkway. This update will involve two phases that will impact the traffic flow and access to some businesses in the area.

During Phase 1, which will last for one day, the eastbound lanes will be closed based on the traffic control plan implemented during the previous phase. Following Phase 1, Phase 2 will commence and is expected to last for two to three days. During this phase, the westbound lanes will be temporarily closed, affecting the entrances to CVS and nearby businesses.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused during this time and greatly appreciate your understanding and cooperation. Attached with this update, you will find the traffic control plans for more detailed information.
