Join Us for the 2025 Citizens Law Enforcement Academy
The Fair Oaks Ranch Police Department (FORPD), in partnership with the Boerne Police Department and Kendall County Sheriff’s Office, invites you to take part in the 2025 Citizens Law Enforcement Academy. This engaging program provides community members with a firsthand look at the inner workings of local law enforcement.
The academy is designed to strengthen the relationship between law enforcement and the community through education and hands-on experiences. Participants will gain insight into the mission, challenges, and daily operations of our agencies while having the opportunity to ask questions and share feedback.
Academy Schedule and Topics
The academy consists of weekly sessions held every Wednesday from March 19, 2025, through May 21, 2025. Sessions will take place at different locations, including FORPD, Boerne Police Department, and Kendall County Sheriff’s Office.

Fair Oaks Ranch Police Department’s Role
FORPD will host several sessions, including a tour of our facilities and specialized training on DWI investigations. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about:
DWI Detection and Standardized Field Sobriety Testing (SFST) (April 2, 2025)
District Attorney Operations & Use of Force Training (April 30, 2025)
Graduation Ceremony at FORPD (May 28, 2025)
Who Can Participate?
The academy is open to residents of Fair Oaks Ranch and surrounding areas who are interested in learning more about law enforcement. There are no costs to attend, but spaces are limited.
