Request For Public Information
The City Secretary's office receives all request for public information.  In order to place a request for public information you must complete the request form and return to the City Secretary's office below:

Alternatively, the interactive request form provided on this website is "fillable". Download the form to your computer, provide the requested information in the fillable area, and email the request to:  Please indicate "Public Information Request" in the subject line.

The City has 10 business days in which to respond to your request, pursuant to the Public Information Act, Tex. Gov't Code Chapter 522.

Preamble to the Texas Public Information Act

The people, in delegating authority, do not give their public servants the right to decide what is good for the people to know and what is not good for them to know. The people insist on remaining informed so that they may retain control over the instruments they have created.

Required Information
Information to be included in your request if not using the City’s form:
  • Requestor's Information
    • Name
    • Address
    • Telephone Number
    • Date of Request
  • Date of the incident or document in question for which you seek information
  • Specific name of the business or individual you are seeking information about
  • How you want the documents (paper or view)

If you do not have specific information then explain the facts surrounding your request that will help us to narrow the scope of the search and where you would like your response sent.
