Animal Control

An Animal Control Officer is any person or persons designated by the City as an enforcement officer who is qualified to perform such duties as required by City ordinances.
 
  1. An Animal Control Officer is charged with responding to requests for help with animals ranging from: wild animals, dangerous animals, or animals in distress.
  2. Animal Control response to stray dog & cat concerns.
  3. Investigation of animal welfare concerns.
  4. Impoundment of unwanted dogs & cats.
  5. Dead animal removal from residences and roadways.
  6. Enforcement of City ordinances regarding livestock, fowl and exotic animals.

Animal Control is available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and can be reached at (830) 249-8645.  To answer calls after hours, weekends or holidays, please contact Dispatch at the non-emergency numbers listed above and a Fair Oaks Ranch Police Officer, will respond.
