City Manager

Responsibility

The City Manager is the Chief Operating Officer for the City working directly under the City Council.  The City Manager provides professional management in the day-to-day activities of the City and is responsible for implementing the policies as established by the Mayor and City Council. The City Manager works closely with Department Heads to ensure that the highest level of service is provided to the citizens in a fiscally responsible way.

The City Manager oversees:

  • Implementing and controlling the Fiscal Budget
  • Personnel
  • Contracting and purchasing
  • Safety and property management
  • Short term and long range planning
  • Assuring that the vision, goals, and objectives established by the Mayor and City Council are implemented by all City departments
