The City's annual Road Maintenance Program is set to take place this summer from June to September. The City has begun completing minor repairs such as crack sealing and level-ups in preparation for this project. During these procedures, the City has taken note of low-hanging tree limbs and overgrown vegetation that may impede the road treatment process. Please have landscapers cut back limbs and/or vegetation out of the roadway before the project's start date. If a low-hanging branch is that of an oak tree, please refrain from trimming till July 1st in accordance with the City's Tree Maintenance Ordinance. For additional information, please visit www.fairoaksranchtx.org/163/oak-wilt. Please click here for road work locations. For more details on the road maintenance schedule visit the Public Works Activity Map.
If tree limbs or overgrown vegetation are encountered at the time of treatment, Public Works staff will cut for necessary clearance measuring 13 feet straight up from the curb to avoid crossing the right-of-way line. This is required to protect trees and other landscaping from damage potentially caused by large equipment involved in the road maintenance process.
If you have any questions regarding the trimming of trees, please contact the City's Environmental Program Manager at (210) 698-0900. For all other questions or concerns regarding road maintenance, please contact Julio Colunga or Jimmy Washer at (210) 698-0900.
