As TxDOT prepares to upgrade the existing FM 3351 (Ralph Fair Road) Cibolo Creek Bridge, you may have noticed that some of the groundwork has already started.
As a reminder, the scope of this project is to replace the existing bridge with a new structure that is designed to accommodate a 100-year storm event and includes both pedestrian and bicycle facilities within a shared-use path and sidewalk. Since the bridge and associated approaches will be raised and widened, several utility and driveway adjustments will be necessary. Typically, utility adjustments occur early in the project and must be cleared prior to project letting (February 2024). In the next few weeks, some trees on the west side of FM3351 will be removed so that CPS Energy can start installing new utility poles and relocating power lines to ensure that there will be no service interruptions or delays once construction commences. Other utilities (GVTC, Spectrum) will also be relocating their lines.
Details on the CPS Energy utility adjustments can be found by viewing FM3351 Cibolo Creek Bridge exhibits. More details will be posted as the construction start date nears.
