Kendall County Sectors

Please remember:

  • This will be a brush pick-up only program. No other large items besides brush will be collected.?
  • Pick-up will continue in a county-by-county manner, with Comal following Kendall, and concluding with the Bexar County portions of the City.?
  • Collection will include gated communities.
  • Be careful to keep the brush piles away from the streets, water meters, drainage areas, fire hydrants, and power lines.
  • Ensure brush piles are not covering utility or telecommunication equipment, and that piles are as close to the road as possible (without placing it on the street).
  • There will be one pass through each neighborhood to collect brush greater than 12 inches long and one inch in diameter.?
  • Once brush piles are consolidated by the contractor, they?may sit for 24 to 48 hours before being picked up by the brush truck.
  • Brush may not be picked up if it is placed too?close to property fences.

The City will continue to update progress, but schedules will be estimated days only, so residents are requested not to wait to get their material to the curb. Cibolo Creek Bridge Project

Cibolo Creek Bridge Project Update

Earlier this month, we provided an update on TxDOT’s FM3351 Cibolo Creek Bridge project. Beginning the week of March 20, you may notice another increase in activity in the area as TxDOT begins the removal of trees from the right-of-way on the west side of FM3351 (between Fair Oaks Parkway and Keeneland Dr).
Tree removal is necessary to accommodate utility pole and overhead electrical line relocation and other utility adjustments. No disruption in traffic is expected, however, residents are encouraged to take extra care while traveling through the area to help ensure worker safety.
Please keep an eye on City communication channels such as social media or Notify Me for additional updates and details.

Oak Tree Pruning Reminder

Oak Tree Pruning

Many tree branches have fallen or have been significantly damaged from the ice storm we experienced this past week.
As a reminder, while pruning please ensure all oak wounds are sealed and painted to prevent the spread of oak wilt.
